I love to just walk up and down Kalakaua at night with the tiki torches and street performers, it's tropical and entertaining.

Lahaina Shaved Ice is on the bottom of the condo building, some of the best shaved ice on the island!

Musubi Cafe is my go-to quick fix breakfast and snack place. Try any of the musubi's, shrimp shumai and the mentaiko pasta! I have a little musubi cafe bag next to the fridge you can use to carry your little musubis around :)

Beach house at Moana Surfrider hotel is a wonderful place to have dinner, super romantic and beautiful

Waikiki Tea across the street has delicious teas, coffees and crepe cakes, they open at 11am.

Tim Ho Wan in the Royall Hawaiian mall has some of the best dim sum around. Definitely check it out for some authentic dim sum!

MW Restaurant is an incredible restaurant but reservations are very difficult to get and must be made a long time in advance, check OpenTable or give them a call.

Henry's Place also across the street has delicious handmade ice creams.

Try the truffle fries at the MaiTai beach bar at Royal Hawaiian!

Walk to Hawaii Brians for a cool, local-y pool hall that has live music on the weekends. They are located in a parking garage, kind of hidden, but a cool experience
Surfing in Waikiki

Canoes/Queens - possibly the most heavenly longboard waves on earth. There's a reason why the Queens of Hawaii surfed at Queens. It's easy to grab a board at Moku or ask me about my longboard if you're an experienced surfer!
.png)
Pops - you can see pops a bit farther out if you're sitting at Canoes, another great longboard break
.png)
3's - right out front. Easy chill longboard wave unless it's bigger. It's a longer paddle out but a perfect right that breaks on a reef. Almost no tourists out there. Line up with everyone else or else get a guide to go out with you.

Kaisers/Ala Moana - You can drive there and park for free and these are great surf breaks!

Hikes
Too many hikes to name. Here are a few good ones for starters, but for people really looking to do some serious hiking and adventure, join the Oahu Hiking Community facebook group for some great ideas and meetups.

Makiki Loop - easy scenic fun loop for families.

Manoa Falls - my personal favorite. It looks like something out of Avatar, take the trail that breaks off to the left for a more advanced hike and go as long as you want but definitely wear proper train running/hiking shoes

Diamond Head - go as early as you can and try to uber.
.png)
Koko Head - for those who are a little masochistic, you can take these 1,000+ stairs up to the top of Koko Head. I did it once and I'm ok with not doing it again I think.. but the views up top can't be beat!
Beaches
I recommend getting out of Waikiki to see the true beauty and splendor of Oahu beaches without the tourists. Waikiki can't be beat for longboarding but here are some other beautiful spots to just hang out. I have a straw mat and a Shibumi Shade in the unit for you to take with you on a lazy beach outing.

Waimanalo - most beautiful blue color, lots of parking, easy to find.

Lani Kai - beaches are great for doing some outrigger canoeing and is nicely located in Kailua.

Kahana Bay - my personal favorite. It's a beautiful bay without many people, very romantic. It's windy there usually and colder, take a jacket.

Ewa Beach- - on the other side of the island is one of the best for intermediate snorkelers. Simply stunning! Look on Airbnb for a guide to take you or ask me for a contact if interested.
